Hmmm, methinks, I love GB, I think I could be a guest blogger, why not? I went straight to the Smitten by Britain site and offered my guest blogging services – despite being entirely unprepared for the task (you’ve seen this blog, 4 posts in 2 years, and I think I can be a guest blogger? Hah!)
Astonishingly, Melissa at Smitten did not write me off as a flake and no-good procrastinator. She emailed me right back with all the info about submitting a guest blog. And I emailed back, promising to send a video blog to her the following Thursday.
PANIC!!!!!!!
I had decided sometime ago that I wanted to add some amusing, British-related anecdotes to the Cheeky Toad site. I also decided that I really don’t like writing that much, and would rather chat instead…. maybe I could do a video blog. Well, this promise to Melissa galvanized me into action, and I set about getting my guest video blog done – that is another story for another day. By some miracle, the video blog was delivered last Thursday, and more miraculous still, Melissa didn’t email back hating it. In fact, she said she would publish it, on her site.
PANIC!!!! Part 2.
Smitten by Britain has actual readers, unlike my site so far. What if those readers decide to take a look at Cheeky Toad? Hence a frenzied 2 days making updates to the site I had been promising myself to do for months and months.
Long story short.. sometimes it takes a thunderstorm in Pittsburgh to triggers events that FINALLY, finally, get this annoyingly (t0 myself) reluctant wannabe entrepreneur moving again.
I just love it when one thing leads to another in such a good way. Cheeky Toad is looking great. Kudos to you for getting it all done!
